Dolphins Backpackers - the only hostel in the centre of Tintagel

My names john and i’m the owner/founder of Dolphins backpackers.

Welcome to our home in Tintagel, Cornwall

I set up Dolphins Backpackers for Budget travelers and seasonal workers like you who need an affordable but comfortable place to crash and meet like minded people.

I’ve worked as a chef in the UK and abroad whilst travelling over the years, and stayed in hostels worldwide.

Hopefully you’ll get a feel of some of the places ive been whilst staying with us here at Dolphins and in turn id love to hear your travelling stories

I’ll take you for beers in our very own backpacker bar, share my local knowledge of Cornwall and make you feel at home.

Drop offs and pick ups to anywhere in the local area is fine by me (For a small donation towards fuel), the bus timetable doesn’t always enable enough time to squeeze in all the sights and I can always give guided tours to anyone that wants! so hit me up.

A hostel with a difference

As well as being an affordable place to stay, there’s loads to do at Dolphins, and in the local area.

Tintagel’s not just a scenic Cornish village full of myth and folklore. It’s a pretty happening place - quirky, but cool! Ok so we’re not talking full on nightlife, but the atmosphere’s welcoming with our very own Bar at the hostel. Handy because you don’t have to stagger home very far!

Plus we host barbecues during the summer and social gatherings in the Dolphins barn. We can even hook you up with surf lessons.
